It clouded over this afternoon, and by 7pm it started drizzling, and now it's actually raining, not hard, but raining.
First time since 5th August, and before that it was the 20 somthingth of July.

Same here. I'm afraid it is all my fault, as I watered the garden yesterday...

Saw the weather forecast this morning and decided to live life dangerously and leave the waterproof jacket at home. The gamble paid off as it was dry at 22:00 when I left work though at 20:45 I could see the pavements were wet. Given the current temperature I would have ridden in my short sleeve jersey and shorts anyway on the way home.

Yes, I saw that!

Sunny but cool this morning. I think it only rained for an hour or so last evening. Off for a short ride soon.

Grief!

All I can find on the news sites is about the hailstorm.
Where did the flooding come from and why is there nothing on BBC news.co.uk?

We had very heavy rain at about 1700 just for about half an hour. Had the hail as well and thunder. I had some family down from Chesterfield who had to drive back to Helston at about this time after spending the day in Falmouth. They said some roads were closed

It was only drizzling yesterday morning, as I set off to,run 'XC' to the Barbers (roughly 4 miles)
Then, as I got in to Newlands Woods, it started raining.

To use an expression from a Terry Pratchett novel,it was coming down so hard it had to queue up to hit the ground'!!

Then, to add to it all, she didn't arrive till 30 minutes after her own opening time

Still raining when I set off home!!

Mindst you, I've lined up on the start of Fell-Races in rain like that....having paid to get soaked to the skin :D

I don't care if it's raining if it's warm.

And it's warm.

It's grim Up North!

Not dropped below 12degC here overnight. It was about 15degC this lunchtime even though it was raining a bit, and it's now back to 12degc - 10:15pm

What part of Lancashire do you live in? Some pre 1974 county boundary reorganisation mountain top in the Lake district?

In the Manchester/Warrington/Liverpool area where I was cycling today it was T shirt and shorts as usual for this time of year.

Rain at 16:30 here which cleared for the 22:00 rode home but it was much cooler than expected, nearly put my jacket on but braved the cool night air with ss jersey and shorts.
