Hi all,
I want to list the most famous movies and documentaries about bike touring. The ones I know are: the two of Mark Beaumont and Janapar. Does anyone know other ones?
thanks

There was someone, can't remember his name but same name as Syd Barrett's next door neighbour, don't know if he filmed anything but he wrote books on cycling.

http://mikebeauchamp.com/crosscanada/Self filmed cross Canada. Gives a pretty good idea of the feel of a long tour. Had his camera mounted on a boom for some rolling footage.

Rob Lilwall's 'Cycling Home from Siberia' was made into a 6 part series by National Geographic ( he gave a talk to a school and one of the kid's father happened to work for National Geographic). I certainly enjoyed watching it altho he didn't acquire the video camera until later in his trip so there is no footage of Siberia.

I remember seeing years ago a documentary showing Bettina Selby riding to Santiago de Compostela, the ride she later wrote about in "Pilgrim's Road".
I would love to see it again.
