Morrison's cleaning

Post by LondonBikeCommuter »

Despite being on my short tour to the south coast I haven't yet decided on which sleeping bag to get SO a kind friend lent me his on the condition that I have it cleaned afterwards.

Thought fair enough as I'd seen Morrison's doing sleeping bag cleaning (down) for £10ish. Now having used the bag for a few nights I'm wondering if taking it to Morrison's is the right thing to do. Anyone have any experience with them? The bag is worth a couple of hundred? quid and it could be expensive for me if they ruin it.

No experience of Morrisons or any other cleaner, my bag is ok. RAB have a recommendation on their website http://rab.uk.com/reference/love-your-r ... -care.html

I doubt a down sleeping bag will ever be the same again after even the best cleaning. I suggest explain this to your friend and suggest you simply use a silk liner.

There was a thread on washing sleeping bags... viewtopic.php?f=42&t=67373

Although I'd be a lot more cautious with someone else's stuff than my own.
