I would suspect that many people have used this saying at some time during their lives , , but does anybody know where it originates from?

Funny you should say that. I friend of mine picked up this lamp today . . looked into the lens and switched it on. He used a word to describe a fairly common water fowl . . or at least thats what i thought he said
