I would suspect that many people have used this saying at some time during their lives , , but does anybody know where it originates from?

I have some boil-in-the-bag kippers in the fridge.

They're yellow, not red.

Ha, I just used this in the DM/Milli thread, and then stumbled here... (Been shouting it at the radio a lot lately).

Funny you should say that. I friend of mine picked up this lamp today . . looked into the lens and switched it on. He used a word to describe a fairly common water fowl . . or at least thats what i thought he said :wink:
