School run drivers are not necessarily bad drivers and in any case if a parent is a bad driver they will socialise their children into bad habits whenever driving with them in the car.

How does the act of driving children to school teach the attitudes you describe? It depends on the character, views and even politics of the parents not on how they transport their children to school.

Sitting in a car while the driver thinks of nothing but their own convenience is what I'm on about. You're right, of course, that this isn't limited to what goes on around schools at drop off and collection time, but that's where a lot of it comes to a head. IME
