There is a mass protest organised for Friday 29th November at 17.00 at the TFL HQ.

I don't know if it's organised by LCC or similar or if it's just an unorganised protest.

Actually occurs on the night of my Christmas party so I won't have my bike with me but I am going to attend and go along to my party later because I think this is a lot more important.

I went along to this.
It was a pretty moving and very dignified peaceful demonstration.

I do not know why CTC had not been promoting it.

Probably because they are an organisation that promotes cycling so would see it as counter productive to support a demonstration that was attempting to portray cycling as very dangerous thus discouraging it. They certainly took the same line when the DfT produced helmet propaganda illustrated with skeletons.

Perhaps.
It would be good to have some clear knowledge of where CTC stands on events like this.

The focus was very much on reducing the dangers for everyone, and for users of all modes to join together to achieve that.
What was refreshing was it wasn't blaming bad drivers (the usual target) but rather the politicians/officials who design and build the road network.

Perhaps CTC is becoming too insular and needs a little more 'smart' thinking.
