New cycle friendly cafe in South Staffordshire

Found a good cycle friendly cafe in Essington in South Staffordshire.

It's called "The Old School Tea Room"

Well because it is inside an old Victorian school.

I must say that I am impressed. Staff are very friendly and go out the way to help you.
I was permitted to bring my bike indoors into a wide corridor so I could keep an eye on it. They do have cycle racks outside around the back so bring a lock if you feel the need.
They have a selection of teas and coffees and other drinks such as milkshakes. Sandwiches toasties and jackets etc.
Have a very nice selection of home made cakes as well.
The decor is really nice with a nice atmosphere.

In all, well worth the visit for a cyclist mid ride.

They have a Facebook page with any other info that you may need.

The only thing is they don't take cards.

Let me know what you think of it when you visit.

I went through Essington today along Hobnock/Bognop road - I wish I'd read this first as it was flipping cold.

Are you going to tell us how much you paid for that small piece of cake?

I chose a small piece as it makes me feel better. They do larger pieces. I find the prices are quite good.
