It is with great sadness that I have to report that Les Lowe, Speedwell BC, passed away this morning in Burton General Hospital after some years of ongoing health problems, and after suffering a heart attack last week. Les was well known all over the Midlands, and indeed the country. He recorded well over one million Kms in a lifetime of tricycle riding, broke a multitude of National and Midland RRA records, was a big supporter of Burton & South Derbys CAMRA, had a great collectiion of jazz and blues records, and was an all round great bloke. He will be sadly missed.

So sorry to hear this, Les was frequently out at events I was also competing in and in latter years would be out marshalling or some other duty at Burton and District time trials. RIP
