Where I can buy a trike?
But not just any trike. Most of the models I've turned up with an internet search have 20 or 24 inch wheels. What I'd really like is 700c (mostly because I've got some studded tyres in that size), with carrying capability at the back.
I'm just thinking about this at this stage, I'm considering being car-less for a while, so I will need something for my shopping and laundry. I don't want anything else apart from a conventional trike (a sit-up one, with basket/boot behind).
Any links would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Could also consider a trike conversion, just a rear axle and struts...
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Both links useful, thanks. The Mission looks along the right lines... I'd have to lose those forks though, at that price they can't be very good and a set of P2s would look good. I'm glad to see it has disc brakes.

The seller is a regular on the forum. May've posted on here before, but not showing at mo.
His site shows it too:

robgul's trike is not small - depends how tall the OP is of course. Otherwise, I've got a Rogers and I like it very much.
Such sports trikes are sold regularly through the Tricycle Association's magazine, although you need to be a member. Most do not come with carriers fitted, but I am sure that Geoff at Trykit could provide advice.

Re: Where I can buy a trike?
Backing up drossall's information, you could also try this forum http://on3wheels.myfastforum.org/index.php It is true that the majority of posters are of the lightweight sporting tricycle type, but there are some riders of utility and/or mobility trikes so you might see advice from them. My comment would be that the usual small wheelers are very heavy, often 30kg and more verus a lightweight machine which is more typically half of that or less even with no specially lightweight parts on it. Large wheeled sporting type trikes do crop up on ebay, like most things there seems to be none for a time and then a sudden rush, but as drossall says not many will come with a rear rack and it is not practical to look for a second hand rack because the majority are bespoke to fit that particular machine. So unless you are handy with metalwork, or know somebody who is, then it would be best to get a rack made by Trykit but be aware that since racks are bespoke he would need to have your frame.

The Mission Tribrid has a claimed weight of 28Kg.
A fair old lump when gravity is against you!

Which for context is pretty much the same as my Trykit when loaded with camping kit and all my stuff for a 3 week tour.breakwellmz wrote:The Mission Tribrid has a claimed weight of 28Kg.
