The problem I have on my 'bent is that when it rains mine mist up.
I have a pair of BBB cycling glasses with an attached pair of perscription glasses under them. Once this happens all I can do is to take them off which then leaves me with sight problems and a headache (from eye strain) if I ride to too much longer.
The question is how to stop the glasses misting up?

Agreed, they're a revelation for walking or cycling in the rain. I know many specs wearers who tried contacts and didn't get on with them in the past . I'd urge them to try the latest soft lenses, there's no breaking-in period and they're dirt cheap on the internet. The only time I don't wear contacts is when I'm indoors all day in overheated buildings and dry eyes can be a problem - not an issue when cycling in the rain!

I used to wear contact lenses when I was cycling back and forth to Uni but I found even on rainy days sometimes my eyes would dry up and at one junction a lens just dropped into my hand. Not great! I used a standard pair of goggles after that to stop the wind getting in my eyes and it was fine; my eyesight was such that I couldn't have cycled/functioned with just the one!
Re: Cycling glasses & rain
i find that the anti reflective coating on glasses is "drip dry" when it gets wet to the water beads and drips off.
wiping would not be a good idea as any tiny grit particles in the water from road spray could scratch the lenses - i always spray with caloclear liquid and then rinse that off under a cold tap rather than wipe my glasses

Re: Cycling glasses & rain
I've had to wear glasses since I was a young lad, over 50 years ago. I couldn't cross the road without them, and my left eye has astigmatism. Three years ago I was recommended daily contact lenses for cycling, and I wear these now, but only for riding. They cope really well, enabling me to use clear glasses which I can remove in heavy rain. The only downside is that I can't see maps or route sheets clearly because my left lense can't cope with varifocal vision and astigmatism at the same time. No problem really, as a simple x2 pair of glasses from any optician or chemist solves the issue when at the cafe stop.
