Zephyros 2xl and tarp how to?

Hi, I have downsized from an Omega 350 to a Zephyros 2xl +Alpkit rig 7 tarp for my 24 day cycle camping in France in June. I could get my bike in my Omega tent but the Zephyros is to small to get the bike inside. Have you any experience of how to combine the tent with a tarp to store my bike under and also for cooking on rainy evenings. Any help is appreciated.

Trees are your friend with a tarp.

If there aren't any look for things which allow one or both ends to be elevated; you might use your bike, especially if it's got a good stand. If you want use of the bike and there are no trees etc. then you'd need some sort of pole, at least at one end. Look for ways to secure the other end to the tent (I'm not that familiar with the nitty gritty of a Z2 so can't really help more).

I'm not quite sure why you want to cover your bike? I never bother, just put a plastic bag over the saddle.

Maybe a bike cover?

Mine packs down pretty small and doesn't require any additional fixing.
