Parking in Cardiff for Lon LAs Cymru De

Hello
Am doing some of the LLC from Cardiff, Northwards, only for a day, to complete the route. Going to drive with the bikes on the car to Cardiff. Anyone know any safe, cheap parking near the start of the route?

It is a little bit 'inner city' but you can often park around De Burgh Street/Despenser Gardens area which is very handy for the city centre and Bute Park/Taff Trail. Alternatively, you may wish to park on one of the residential streets in the north of Penarth. You can park within a few hundred yards of the Cardiff Bay barrage there for free. Admittedly, that is the 'wrong' side of the barrage but it is a pleasant cycle.
