Gridiron 100

Post by ignatzcatz »

Just wanted to say many thanks to all the organising crew at Wessex CTC for putting on a great ride. Fortunately the weather was kind so not too much mud but enough previous precipitation to have some water in the fords we crossed. Great fun even if I got a wet bum. So thanks all again and here's looking forward to next year.

I second this I had great fun on the ride. Whoever came up with the route really has done their homework. Almost all of it was on tiny scenic roads with great views. Given me some ideas for quiet roads to cycle down. Lots of nice people and perfect weather for the day. Excellent!!

And a third happy customer...!
We had an exploded tyre just before Hyde (fortunately only about a mile before) and the kind folk manning the tea station knew that there was a bike shop at Sandy Balls only three miles away.

One mercy dash later we were back in business...

Thanks to all for a fantastic day out - especially to the ladies at Colbury who just kept tipping piles of biscuits into the middle of our table!
