Wild Country Hoolie 2 Etc or Vango Pulsar 200?

Post by scraynes »

Which would you get?

I am after something that is good for me and my 6yr old son. The large porch is ideal for keeping stuff in etc over night and the sleeping area is more than large enough for both of us.

The wild country is a bit lighter than the Vango. I've had lots of vango's in the past and like them a lot so I can't get past that, but the weight saving is worth having.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It seems a pretty simple weight Vs size decision. It'll also depend on the sort of touring you're likely to use it for, for high mileage tours where the tent is little more than somewhere to sleep I'd go for the lightest, for tours at a more leisurely pace where the tent is going to get more daily use I'd go for the largest. I'd suspect that with your son, you're going to spend more time in the tent than on the bike, I'd go for the Vango.
