Yoghurt and Breakfast

Post by fluffybunnyuk »

Found a great way to have breakfast while out and about. In the evening I buy some live yoghurt and 1 litre of milk. Almost boil the milk in the kettle, at about 45deg C add the live yoghurt and pour into the thermos. Wrap thermos in towel and stick it in bottom of sleeping bag. Wake up the next morning with over a litre of yoghurt!!! Yumm. So i had it with some home made energy bars and jam for breakfast and really set up my day.

Well it made up for the night spent watching giant slugs crawliing over the outside of my tent inner, and praying I didnt have to go outside at all...

**EDIT** it takes about 8 hrs to make the yoghurt, which ends up slightly warm. Dropping the container in a river for 1hr makes it nicely chilled :D Dont forget to use some live yoghurt (100ml will do) to turn the rest of the milk

I tried to 'like' this post then remembered I wasn't on Facebook any more... 'Like' anyway! You've given me an idea what to do with a thermos flask with a top that doesn't click to pour any more. Mind you, I'm not going to risk it in my sleeping bag! :-)
