Hi
I put a post about how to disassemble the front hub on the Fulcrum wheels and was directed to exploded diagrams. However I still haven't managed to do it. Once the qr is out there is the bearing adjuster with an Allen key and the two ends which the forks clamp to. Its these ends that I can't get off. There does not appear to be any clip and they don't seem to unscrew with a 5mm hex key. There are no nuts. StumpCheers
Cheers

Hi
Thanks I have looked on here there doesn't seem to be the 2014 version unless I haven't found it.

Re: Fulcrum Racing 5 cx 2014 Bearings
if the bearing adjuster is a split clamp that goes on a screw thread, then this should just unscrew completely, giving you a view of the whole bearing. If you can see the whole bearing then the axle should then just bosh straight out with a soft hammer.
IIRC this is the same scheme as is used in Campag record (and others) since 1999 and earlier (but not in split clamp form) by Mavic, atarting in the 1980s.
If it isn't like that then I agree there must be end fittings that are removed. They can only be held on in a few ways. Any pics?
cheers

Hi
Thanks. Yes the bearing adjuster unscews right out and the the axle is loose but It will only unscrew up to the ends that clamp in to the forks. I will put up a picture tomorrow.

Are there not hex shape holes in the ends of the axle, so that you can insert an allen key at both ends then undo one against the other, as per the 2013 manual (and Miche road hubs such as I have)?

Re: Fulcrum Racing 5 cx 2014 Bearings
Hi
Finally solved.
Very, Very simple
Working on the bearing adjuster side, take a flat blade screw driver or some kind of puller if you have such a thing and pull the axle end off, it has an internal ciclip.
Undo the allen key on the adjuster don't unscrew all the way out, unscrew the adjuster and remove the axle and seals. Knock out the bearings. Takes less than 5 minutes once you know.
