Using a Dragonfly. Very happy with it.
Do folk leave the fuel pump in the fuel bottle when out on tour?
I am about to set off on a 5 week trip around the 4 corners of Scotland and wondered if it will be OK.
Thanks
Matt

Interesting, I don't.
Concerned re leaks and Coleman fuel is so corrosive and volatile also damage to the pump mechanism.
The fuel bottle top is so good, I always use that and store the pump somewhere safe.

Thanks. When I thought of doing this of was put off by the idea of the fuel making other stuff in my kit smelly.
Guess you shake it as dry as possible and then well wrap it?

Re: MSR fuel bottle
It is fine to leave the pump in the fuel bottle.

Yes, there is no problem with leaving the pump in the bottle. However, we recommend that the pressure is released when not in use. Do this by slowly unscrewing the pump, away from open flames, while holding the bottle upright.

Re: MSR fuel bottle
Never taken the pump out of the bottle during trips or storage for the past 20 years on a dragonfly and XGK, no problems whatsoever
