I got an excess of generosity. Chocolates (my favourite Walnut Whips), an
excellent t-shirt, bar tape for my trike, and a pick and hook set that should let me get into a faulty Ergo shifter

I agree of course. Misuse of the apostrophe annoys me somewhat.
Trouble is, it's ALWAYS referred to as Father's Day, just as Mother's Day.

As discussed above, we can blame the Americans for Mother's Day, and therefore for the apostrophe error

I got some cash off our eldest which will go towards a new cycling shirt and Sarah gave me a great little toy, a digital clock powered by two potato's
she knows I like the sciencey stuff.
Best Fathers day pressy this year was on Tuesday watching her graduate at Oxford Brookes

Absolutely, fantastic day, well orchestrated by the university, and a chance to meet Sarah's tutors and fellow students. A good look around Oxford on foot
Visit to Christchurch Meadow, Carfax Tower, Oxford Castle, and numerous hostelries, well one or two at least
