This morning there was a discussion between MrsE and myself in witch she informed me that I did not know how the bowl in the kitchen sink worked.
I replied that I did and it was for washing bike parts of grease and the stuff dogs leave on cycle paths. Plus they are very good for finding punctures.
This resulted in me getting "The Look". Then I was set the task of washing up.
Now this is a problem as I have received no training in this task. Are there Health and Safety considerations?
What do you do with Washing Up Liquid?
The final problem is this mystical cloth was mentioned. What do I do with a cloth and what could it be?
All help and any suggestions will be appreciated.

Ditto the use of the bowl in the kitchen sink.
What is this "washing up" of which you speak? My bikes get washed down. How do you wash them up?
Washing up liquid (why do they call it that?) is for removing light greasy smears fom bike frames, cranks, chain-rings etc. Using the cloth is easy. It's for washing the inside of the chain stay.

What manner of creature's this, being but half a fish and half a monster
Re: Kitchen Nightmare.
Washing dishes is easy and I don't know why so many people have problems with it. You simply lay all the dishes out in the back yard, and spray them all with Muc-off. Then after waiting 5 minutes you give them a hose down with the garden hose on the spray setting. If any plates are particularly greasy then you might need to spray some degreaser on them first.

Oh no, no machines the last time I used one of those was 2 years ago following advice from this very forum.
I followed the instructions given very carefully and separated the white from the coloured crockery. Then put the selected one in this washing machine thing.
They all came out broken, so no machines for this.
Could I just let the dog lick them clean?

You have seen where the dog sticks his tongue first?
Re: Kitchen Nightmare.
Ah! The mystical cloth - my daughter keeps one of these by the sink. I dutifully used it to clean my cup before using it again later. When my daughter saw me using it later she tells me that is the loo cleaning cloth
Peugeot 531 pro, Dawes Discovery Tandem, Dawes Kingpin X2, Raleigh 20 stowaway X2, 1965 Moulton deluxe, Falcon K2 MTB dropped bar tourer, Rudge Bi frame folder, Longstaff trike conversion on a Giant XTC 840, Giant Bowery, Apollo transition.

That is why I hate being called the dogs Dad. I am not responsible for bringing something into the world that can lick its own

These cleaning things are a real mystery to me as well.

Yes washing up liquid is OK for de-greasing bits, but Mr.Sheen brings the frame up a treat too. It's useless on furniture (well, it would be I'm sure if I ever used it for that).
