Saphenous Nerve

Post by MGate »

Any of you had trouble with this one? Just been diagnosed with this after having to sack my first attempt at an E2E on day 3. My wife is carrying on http://fiomull.wordpress.com but I've had to call it a day as I can't turn the pedals without it feeling that someone has whacked me behind the knee with a flaming baseball bat...

All that planning and training down the pan because of a nerve about 1mm thick...

Thanks for the sympathy vote Gaz. It's a very uncomfortable condition and for me almost entirely cycling specific. Had Acupunture yesterday which bought some relief. It's a week on since we started and I've rested 5 days now but the pain starts within a couple of pedal strokes of starting out.

Hope your knee got sorted eventually. I'm lucky that I have a GP mate who is on the ball and has supported me on the phone
He reccommded the acupuncture and massage route. A lot of which made sense even In a western medicine way.

Mine you still smartng from having to pull out - as I lie here unable to sleep outside the rain is lashing down and winds blowing ready to welcome my wife up Shap...
