I suppose that caused more annoyance than average because it happened in
Oxford: Oxford, home of the OED; Oxford, home to 'Oxford' English, i.e. Received Pronunciation. Anywhere else, it would just have been a giggle. But Oooohhhxxxxferd!!!

Yet it will probably appear in the (Oxford English Dictionary) next edition as a word "now in common usage" (at least a lot of people will have read it).
I wonder how well the driverless vehicles would cope with recognising such a sign.

In Washington state near the US Canada border, a few feet away in fact. I've no idea why this notice there. I live about 100 miles away and have yet to hear about any new casinos, problem gamblers or the like.
