New Croix de Fer

Today I took delivery of my new Croix de Fer 10
First drop bar bike in 30years. Really nice to ride. 30mph on the flat, which is about 6-7 faster than my road going mtb/tourer.
Saddle was like sitting on a brick, so the Brooks came off the tourer.

Fitted mudguards and different tyres.
There has been some discussion previously about fitting stays around brake calipers, here is my solution.

Fitting the left stay took about 3mins longer than the right, not difficult.

Oooh, the TRP Spyres... Were those standard? Interesting to see them fitted to something at last. Tempting brakes.

Standard fit. seem ok, better in theory than other cable disc brakes as they move both pads.
As a bonus, the pads are the same as my mountain bike.

Jealous! I'm getting a custom build Croix de Fer but the frameset delivery to Genesis is still on a ship somewhere at sea.
For the record, I've gone for a shimano 105 11 speed groupset, trp hy/rd disc brakes, and a shimano rx31 wheelset and 3T finishing kit.
Due at the end of the month.

No, It's a Croix de Fer 10
It's the bottom of the range model.
I couldn't justify to myself spending more than £850 on a bike.
Plus I wanted 9spd cassette like my other 3 bikes/ trike.
I did about 20 miles of it on Sunday after I had put the mudguards and road tyres on it. A few stops to adjust the saddle and flip the stem.
It rides really nice. The gears need a little tweak before I go out on it tonight.

Nice bike. Looked at this myself.
Those mudguard stays look deadly.

I'm Going to trim them off, just wanted to be sure that they were in the right place first.

Are those low rider bosses on each fork leg, or are they the places you should have fitted the mudguard stays?

I believe they are, low rider bosses. There are mounting hole in front of and behind the drop out, one for mudguards, one for low riders.
Why do you you say they should be fitted there? I have seen mudguards fitted to the centre of the fork on other bikes, it just doesn't look right.
