Battery charger alternating red/green light

B+M battery pack is causing charger ( ok on other packs to alternate red/green) pack will power light for 30mins when used -is pack knackered?

My so called intelligent charger flashes red and green when the battery is being alternatively charged and discharged - described as the refresh function for older or long stored batteries. It does this until it thinks the battery is refreshed and then starts charging.

My Maplin 30 min charger flashes red sometimes, which according to the instructions means a bad battery. However, the green light comes on as usual after about 30 minutes and the batteries are perfectly OK.
