I just bought one on eBay and the first time I unfolded it the latch broke (see picture). Anyone know where I can get replacement parts? Or even where I could get new ones machined?
The seller knew there was something wrong and pointed it out to me but I don't think he knew that it was about to break completely. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
The top bit is the adjuster which has right and left-hand threads, the broken one is left-hand. The right-handed thread screws into the piece lower left, the lower right piece goes through it and through lugs in the fame. The two pieces are fixed together with a grub screw inside the barrel which has broken.

A good yacht rigging place might be able to supply something suitable or perhaps something that can be,adapted. This sort of thing… http://www.southernriggingsupplies.co.u ... s-19-c.asp

Even the smallest one of these is much too long I'm afraid.

Try looking on ebay for rose joints and the hardware that goes with them, you will find a way to assemble what you need.
