Hi,
I always remember a documentary about a one legged man in India who taught himself to ride a standard sit up bike without any foot retention just a flat rubber pedal and sandal...........................

Would say a Pedalec bike would be best as the electric sensor at the chainset cuts in with the electric motor to help you pedal, these can be got for both normal and electric bikes.

It's not that hard! the body adapts, it adapts better if you have the right mindset to do it.

If you want to ride, than ride. If not, find something else that make you happy

I would say much harder than twice as hard because there is no balance in power delivery. If one good leg and one leg unable to push but at least there to help the pedal go round it makes completing the cycle back to where the good leg can push again easier.

With only one leg the rider has to push and then pull up again. Even the pressure on the seat changes in this style of riding. Try it!
