I have had this, very painful, had to have an operation as it got progressively worse over time, to the point that I could only move it no more that 20% of full movement.

Off work after the op for 6 weeks and have physio for 18 months. Its common in Diabetics more often than not.

Go back to see the Doc, get a referral to see a specialist, messing around with it is only putting off the inevitable. It will save you a lot pain

As I explained in my earlier posts Between Me The Docs and the Physiotherapist (NHS) frozen shoulder was miss diagnosed
Later came the rash which I still have to a lesser degree. Shingles, cant sit or sleep comfortable at all.

Some very slight pain some numbness in the armpit and up till two days ago only up to three hours a night continuous sleep
Last but one night six hours and last night three hours then I can not get back to sleep at all.................

I will have to live with what I got and I might goback to the doctor, from what I gather I will experience pain etc. well after rash has gone............

Edited, But cycling or any movement is not painful at all, on the bike I just forget its there.
