given the situation I'd suggest that you might as well get a 719 rim (or something similar) to match and then have at it. The 719 rim is strong for its weight, but it isn't that heavy, if you see what I mean. If you are going to have wheel problems it'll most likely be the rear, not the front, with that setup.
If you think you might rebuild the rear with a stronger heavier rim in the long term, then you could get one of those for the front right now in anticipation.
Those would be my two favourite choices, given where you are right now.
