I've used Evans, Wiggle and CycleSurgery before for online shopping but this week I got some bits from Chain Reaction and I was also impressed by the speed of delivery. Like Play.com (for films and games) they don't charge postage either. Think I'll use them again as they stock a lot of brands.

I have used Chain Reaction on 4 previous occasions, cannot fault their service and speed of delivery.

Their web site is also good as it indicates clearly if items are in stock, which is not always the case with other sites.

Wish Id read this before Friday....

I had a road rat bike light highlighted, and wanted to call the company to make my call as I do not like leaving my credit card details.

I called and called and callled. Line always busy, unable to leave a message. Or as with one occassion call left unanswered.

So I ordered instead from Wiggle and paid £20 more!

Next time, Ill just do the order. Its great to get some feedback from a company you dont know. Should of come on here earlier.. slightly fuming....

Wiggle have an easy return policy, you don't have to give a reason. It'll just cost you the postage.

I found Chain Reaction Cycles to be an absolute nightmare.

I ordered a Tacx Ergotrainer which arrived with bits missing and with the box obviously opened and resealed before shipping. Plundered for spares me-thinks.

Customer Services never answered the phone or replied to emails so eventually I gave up and phoned Tacx. They told me "Chain Reaction Cycles are having issues - I'm not allowed to say anymore". Now if that doesn't scare you off nothing will.

Incidently, Tacx supplied the missing parts straight away, free of charge. Fantastic.

Online order placed with CRC 18/08/2008 09:56 for in stock items. Order still being processed on 20/08/2008 15:02.

I can't get through by telephone and they haven't responded to my e-mails.

Previous orders with them have been handled Ok.

I only placed this order with CRC because Wiggle didn't have stock of the Exposure Enduro Maxx light that I wanted.

I shall stick with Wiggle in future even if it means waiting for out of stock items.

Had one or two problems with them, but generally seem OK. Frequently have items going out of stock, but seem to get them in again fast enough.

I make sure to highlight in any order for them to check goods supplied are as ordered: I've had the opposite happen not just with CRC and its a pain to deal with.

Delivery can be a problem always, but the sales company usually have nothing to do with that side of things. Doesn't help them though if the delivery company screws up.

I emailed CRC to find out what was going on with the delay on my order (items were in stock), I've received a response saying they are experiencing delays due to the bad weather in Northern Ireland at the moment.

I guess we just have to be patient until they clear the backlog!

My experience with CRC has been nothing but first class. Latest example - ordered pedals on Wednesday afternoon, arrived with post Thursday morning. It'll be a shame if they really do have 'issues'.

Been happy with CRC, quick delivery. Got a digital Weldtite pressure gauge which didn't work. Returned it and they gave me a quick credit on my card for £10.99 being cost of gauge plus £2 postage. No complaints.
