If you're happy being diagnosed as overweight or obese, with all the treatment restrictions than entails then by all means go with that diagnoses. I've made my views as a clinician in the field very clear. The rest is up to you.

Who asked for a diagnosis I certainly did not. We are talking in general terms not specific.

I did say I was happier to compare like with like as in a comparison of different people taking exercise. If that is BMI or any other method I do not care. You are the one saying spend £90 and go to a doctor who does not understand non obese people.

So when are you going to come up with a cost free no doctor visit general principal?
One that is better than weight with regard to height.

As a clinician I am bloody glad you are not looking after me.

As a clinician I'm glad to say I'd treat you irrespective of your ignorance. If you want free health care in the future I suggest you start getting serious about your own health now. If that means a capital outlay then I'm sure you'll agree it's money well spent.

Whole-body air displacement Plethysmography, the most commonly used Gold Standard diagnostic instrument in UK hospitals and clinics:

Dual Energy X-ray technology is also widely used to evaluate body composition:

Body fat composition monitors are being rolled out in GP surgeries this summer. They are not consumer devices, and potentially as accurate as the above given the advance in medical technology since they were first introduced in the late 80's (25 years ago)

So there is nothing that can be used as a basis for a discussion?
