Water Bottles
What are the best plastic alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks bottles that can be used in standard bottle cages? Screw tops are fine because I don't drink on the move.

I use an oversize BBB cage with a 1.5l pet bottle. Carries wine too! [emoji106]

These are good tough drinking bottles https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BOH5BOWFZ ... -zero-tube I bought several when they were doing them for £1.99 but beware I found that high 5 drink that you get free with it a bit addictive.....

If you mean what drinks can you buy in the supermarket that will fit a bottle cage, no idea for UK. OTOH you can buy a couple of standard bidons and put anything in them.
Have we got time for another cuppa?

1.5l water bottles fit fine, with a bit of a squeeze first time fitting. Highland Spring have a particularly good shape for bottle cages. I've snapped some cages while off-road with 1.5l bottles though, so on-road only.
EDIT: basically look for the thinnest/squishiest 1.5l bottle. the thicker/stronger plastic bottles don't mould into the right shape to fit.
EDIT2: when you buy them open them and take a swig, they have a bit of an airlock from the bottling process so don't squish from new.
