Campag 9-sp Ergo levers and disk brakes

I have recently upgraded the forks on my touring bike. These have mounts for cantilever and disk.
I use 9-speed campag ergopower levers (veloce/centaur) with cantilever brakes at the moment.

I was considering buying a BB7 mechanical disk brake for the front. I'm a bit concerned that the campag levers won't pull enough cable.
Has anyone dried campag ergo with mechanical disk brakes?

BB7s come in two flavours; 'MTB' or 'Road'. You want 'Road'.

I use both 8 and 10 speed ergos and they are fine,can't feel any difference.
