Pro Cyclist vs Sprinter Richmond park
Pro Cyclist vs Sprinter Richmond park
I have always wanted to know how well a sprinter such as Mark Cavendish or Mario Cipollini would do lapping Richmond common about 6.7 miles. Can't seem to get any info on sprinters taking it on. Wonder if they would do as well as regular pros.

Regular pros or time trial specialists, with or without a peleton?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Ex pro David Millar holds the fastest time for the 6.7 mile park lap. clocking 13:35 at an average speed of 29.596 mph!

That's solo, but on his full pro-spec team issue time trial bike.

Did hear about that one. I wander if any other famous faces tried it.
