The aberdulais fals are in fact very close to the tidal limit of the river Neath in South Wales:

Hallaig. On the coast of Raasay. I have only been here by sea kayak so am not sure how easy it is to walk from the end of the track. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/64347

This may not meet your on-the-coast criteria, but it's not far off. The main obstacle to accessibility by bike is that it's high on the moors which inevitably means some strenuous climbing.

Mallyan Spout near Goathland is a waterfall and AFAIK, there are others in the immediate area (which has been popularised / commercialised / you name it, by its association with the TV series Heartbeat. )

In North Wales, you have Dyserth waterfall which is a bit inland and Aber falls which are worth visiting and about 3km from the coast.

Wikipedia has lists of waterfalls... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wa ... of_England

It gives some location informaiton, though you may not be able to tell from that which are on the coast. If you scroll down, near the bottom are links for the lists for Wales and Scotland, and the UK, as well.

Steall falls near Fort William. Not exactly on the coast and requires a bit of walking but definitely worth seeing. Crossing the wire bridge takes a bit of nerve, assuming it's still there. A cycle up Glen Nevis is well worth it alone.

It's interesting that most suggestions are in Scotland. I wonder if this is because of 'isostatic readjustment' - Scotland is rising whilst the South of England is sinking.

Naah, it's just all the rain we get here keeping the waterfalls well topped up.
