Just returned from the stunning North Yorkshire Moors.
Here’s a view of Robin Hoods Bay from the bridge carrying Stoupe Bank Lane over the Whitby & Scarborough Railway.

And another from the trackbed below Bay Ness Farm.

Who put that damn bike in the way? 8)

Circe tandems are a great bike, they ride very well indeed and pack down really small for travelling.
I was very impressed with ours, and that was after a Cannondale Road tandem and a Santana Arriva both of which were top class machines which we really enjoyed riding.
It was a wrench to sell ours(which we'd fitted a front wheel e-kit) when Mrs R2 couldn't ride anymore and the grandchildren lost interest as they grew older.

Been there.
We used to holiday there, and Staithes and Whitby too. Remember, I'm a Northerner originally. Lived in Cornwall since 1985 having "I've Been Everywhere, Man" :D

Cycled to Whitby via the moors some years ago as part of my Grand Tour.
Wonderful paces up there.

I mistakenly assumed MickF would be posting to say it's the North York Moors

https://www.northyorkmoors.org.uk/about-us

Although for some reason the heritage railways is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway

When we lived up there, way back when, it was the north Yorkshire moors as far as we Lancastrians were concerned.
As opposed to other moors.

What happened to the Ridings?

Mrs Mick F's gran and granddad lived in Southport, Lancashire .............. but then it turned into Southport, Merseyside ........... despite it not being on the Mersey at all but on the shore of the Irish Sea.

Nothing to do with bridges, but quite recently I discovered that a riding is an electoral district in Canada

And is or was a division in several other countries:

And guess what a fourth part is called...

Well any place looks good when the sunshines Doesn't it

Nice bike 'peetee' :)
Is that a new concoction?
Old fashion frame, new age shifters and an old-fashioned pump.
Has that 42 tooth front chain wheel been upgraded to a 30 something yet?
To save them ageing legs.

My old man,86,still says he lives in the West Riding despite it being called South Yorkshire for nigh on 50 years.I can just about remember it as West Riding.I remember decimalisation a couple of years earlier despite being 4 or 5 at the time 8)
