I rode to the shops this morning. On getting there, I heard an ominous "Bang" noise followed by a long hissing. I then had to walk home as the ride was a bit bumpy, and it was hard work keeping the bike in a straight line.
This was at 10.30(ish)am on New Years Day.
Has the P*nct*r* Fairy visited anyone else so far?
Just more backup to my decision to buy a car.

The aforementioned fairy also visits motorised vehicles, hate to disabuse you, and you get just as dirty and bad tempered fixing them -unless I go all girly and some dashing bloke comes to the rescue.

But the power of the infernal combustion engine allows the extra weight of much thicker rubber to be carried. So while little bits of broken-bottle glass get embedded in car tyres, they don't go right through. I hope.
I did my Good Samaritan bit a few weeks ago, when I pointed my Cateye Double Shot and Stadium lights to assist someone changing their car wheel. So I do realise that cars get flats too.
Mrs T: Good Luck with your Dashing Blokes.

That get-out doesn't work for us chaps.
And a Happy New Year to all our readers.

Yes this morning about 10.00, and a car driver pulled off the main road and asked if I need any help, which is the second time that I have been offered assitance by a motorist over the holiday period, when I have been mending a puncture.
