Kiddie Back Tandem
I'm just looking for some help my little girl is nearly 4 now so has outgrown her trailer. I've got a tandem so I'm wondering about kiddie back cranks or a tag along. The cost seems similar and I'm going to see if anybody has any bits for sale on here but wondered if anybody has any advice comments?

Mini-me took well to a trailer bike on the back of the solo, I've posted advice on that before: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=43980&p=355416&#p355416
Mini-me did not take to kiddie cranks on the ̶t̶a̶n̶d̶e̶m̶ ̶ "Tantrum": viewtopic.php?f=1&t=61434&p=523160&p523160#p523160
Involve your daughter in the process.

Re: Kiddie Back Tandem
I have used kiddycranks on an adult tandem and a trailerbike (Burley), indeed used both together for two kids, one on kiddyback and one on trailerbike to have three of us on a bike together. Happy memories! Kids didn't have much of a preference either way.
My preference would be for the kiddycranks, but both work.
What I would say is that the Burley design which has proper headset bearings but attaches to a bespoke rack is *miles* better than the clamp to the seatpost ones, no comparison at all. I tried a seatpost one and found the amount of wobble most alarming. Also a trailerbike without gears is a bit hopeless if you want any impetus from the child - and it's amazing how much difference a child pedalling makes when you're going up a steep hill.
If you're interested, I've recently removed the kiddycranks and also still have the Burley trailerbike and rack, been meaning to sell them but not got round to it.
Drop me a message if you're interested in either or both.
